Part of Lees Chapel Road closed due to water main break in Greensboro

The City of Greensboro said approximately 500 customers are without water service due to the water main break.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two westbound lanes of Lees Chapel Road are currently closed between Yanceyville Street and Coltrain Road due to a 24-inch water main break, according to the city. 

There are approximately 500 customers without water. 

Crews are on site until repairs are complete and lanes reopen which is expected to take place by 9 p.m. Friday. 

Drivers are to go a different way and avoid the area.
