Now, city planners are focusing on areas south of the Elm Street train tracks.

Greensboro, NC -- A new plan to be unveiled tomorrow will rework about 10 acres along Elm Street, south of the railroad tracks.City planners say the project includes a grocery store at the intersection of Elm and Lee Streets and residential units in the old Daily Bread Flour Mill."We've got a lot of new development going on in the northern part of downtown and the central part," says Greensboro Development Manager Dan Curry. "Now this project can kind of help link the southern part of downtown to the neighborhoods that are adjacent."There will be two public forums on the redevelopment project tomorrow. The first starts at noon and the second at 5:30.Both will be in the Regency Room on South Elm Street.
