GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan is no longer running for reelection, she announced during a city council meeting Tuesday.
“After a great deal of thought and prayer, I have decided not to seek reelection. I do have plans for life after being mayor, but they do not include elective office, and that’s all I plan to say at this point," Mayor Vaughan said.
Mayor Vaughan has been with the city since 2013. However, her service to Greensboro began three decades ago.
Her current term ends on Dec. 2, 2025.
