GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Police say they've arrested an 18-year-old in connection to a homicide investigation after two people were found dead in an apartment fire that was set intentionally on Summit Avenue Wednesday evening.
Greensboro Police say Chris Adrean Collins, 18, was arrested in this case. The Guilford County Jail lists his charges as kidnapping, murder and first-degree arson.
Firefighters were called to the 700 block of Summit Avenue around 9 p.m. in reference to an apartment fire. Police confirm it was 703 Summit Ave., Apartment 5. Fire officials say smoke was visible from the apartment. A man's body was found inside the home. Thursday morning, police revealed they discovered a second body.
The Greensboro Fire Department later ruled the fire arson.

The bodies still haven't been identified. Both deaths are being investigated as homicides. Police confirm both victims were male. A police report from the incident says one victim was 25-years-old and that a knife/cutting instrument was somehow involved.
Deputy Chief Hinson of the Greensboro Police Department said the Fire Department found the first man unresponsive inside as they were battling flames, and brought him outside. They made-life saving efforts but were unsuccessful.
GPD said the deaths were not a result of smoke inhalation or the fire, prompting an investigation of what they deemed a fire of a 'suspicious' nature.
The fire was put out within 15 minutes of firefighters arriving. No other surrounding apartments were damaged.
Police blocked off Summit Avenue between Yanceyville Street and Dewey Street due to the investigation.
Greensboro Police say they're working on interviews, and have obtained a search warrant to collect evidence inside the apartment where the two were found.
