Greensboro Cash 5 Winner Is $340,000 Richer

A Cash 5 player won $342,292 after buying a ticket in Greensboro. The winning ticket was sold at Food Lion on Hicone Road.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Luck was prevalent in North Carolina and the Triad this weekend when it came to playing the lottery.

A North Carolina Education Lottery Cash 5 player won $342,292 in Friday's drawing after buying a ticket in Greensboro. The winning ticket was sold at Food Lion on Hicone Road.

The winning $344 million Powerball ticket was also sold in North Carolina. It's not yet known where it was sold.

The Mega Millions drawing for Tuesday is worth $475 million.
