Greensboro Approves 2019-20 Budget

The City plans to strengthen transportation, women and minority-owned businesses, and the Greensboro Science Center.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro City Council approved a $566.1 million budget for the 2019-20 fiscal year during its meeting Tuesday night. 

Property taxes are going up three cents to 66.25 cents per $100 property valuation. The City says the last property tax increase was 11 years ago.

The City says this budget includes plans to further strengthen transportation, women and minority businesses, libraries, zoning, Parks and Recreation's Plan Plan2Play Master Plan and the Greensboro Science Center. 

Citizens will also see a $2.50 per month increase for recycling.
