Veinte Veinte Vision Latin Festival returns to Greensboro this Saturday

The Rosa Foundation’s annual event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — National Hispanic Heritage Month Kicks off this Sunday. It is annually celebrated from September 15 to October 15. A Greensboro nonprofit is holding an event to recognize the contributions and influence Hispanic Americans have had on the United States.

James and T’Ebony Rosa are the founders of Rosa Foundation. It’s a nonprofit that provides programming and activities for youth and families. The couple joined WFMY News 2 live in the studio to talk about their organization’s 3rd Annual Veinte Veinte Vision Latin Festival.

“We provide, nurture, and grow, which is part of our mission,” T’Ebony Rosa said. “The Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off our cultural appreciation part of our mission which is also to provide community support and community outreach.”

The Veinte Veinte Vision Latin Festival is Saturday, September 14 at the Barber Park Amphitheater in Greensboro. There will be food, music, vendors, and raffles.

“This year’s festival is a little bit different,” James Rosa said. “We’re providing more services to our community. When you go to a lot of festivals it’s about trying to buy something. This one is more about providing services. Whether it’s housing and food. Things to help our community out.”

Rosa Foundation is still in need of a few more volunteers to help with the day’s logistics.

“Cultural appreciation is important because representation is important overall,” T’Ebony Rosa said. “We wanted to make sure this particular month was highlighted not just through food and music, but also by providing services to our community.”

The festival is on Saturday from 1pm-8pm at the Barber Park Amphitheater in Greensboro. The Rosa Foundation said the event is free with free parking. There is a playground for children and a classic car cruise-in.
