LEXINGTON, N.C. — The streets of Uptown Lexington will shut down on Halloween night for a spooktacular family-friendly event. The city’s annual Boo Bash will have over 60 stations in Uptown Lexington where children and families can get candy and play games for free.
Travis Stewart is the Executive Director of Uptown Lexington, Inc. The organization hosts the event for the city. Stewart said it’s a safe space with roads fully staffed by members from the Lexington Police Department.
“We have a musician, we have a stilt walker, we’ll have some fire twirling, balloon artists and of course lots and lots of candy,” Stewart said. “We’re fortunate enough to have an anonymous donor who donates money every year for candy.”
There is also fun for adults who want to participate.
“There’s a bar crawl going on and it lasts until the bars close,” Stewart said. “You get four stamps at a participating location and you get into a raffle for a free prize.”
The streets in Uptown Lexington will close from 5 to 8 pm for the Boo Bash.
