GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Here's a sale, you don't want to miss. You can literally walk away with amazing books for as little as a buck. And you might even take home a piece of history.

The 57th annual St. Francis Book Sale features 60,000 books starting as low as $1. There are plenty of rare finds too, like a collection of newspapers from the JFK files, and a book from the 1930's valued at $900.

There's something for everybody at the book sale but the best part, all the money collected goes right back into the local community.

Rev. Milton Williams, the interim rector at St. Francis said the Parish collected $50,000 through its book sale last year. The beneficiaries included: Step-up Ministry, Backpack Beginnings, Clara House, Food Assistance, Mobile Meals, Greensboro Urban Ministry Food Bank, Stop Hunger Now, and Episcopal Relief and Development.

The categories for this year's book sale include: Old & Rare • Fiction • Books on CD Movie DVDs • Science Fiction • Nonfiction • Children's Books Poetry • Art • Health • How-To • Cookbooks • Classics • History

Pick up a great book, stock your bookcase and support your community.
