GREENSBORO, NC -- Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan joined Faith Abubey for another Ask the Mayor segment.
The Fourth of July is right around the corner and there are some big changes for this year's fun fourth festival. Everything will happen over two days, Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4. The parade is now a stationary parade and the street festival won't start until 2:00 pm on the 4th. We asked Mayor Vaughan to share her thoughts on the changes and what she's looking forward to about the festival. _________________________

One of the topics at last night's city council meeting that spurred a lot of discussion-- conversation whether or not to raise the city's water and sewer rates. Those in favor of the increase say it'll help to fix the city's infrastructure and prevent sinkholes and problems in the future. Those against say they don't want to raise rates. The council voted 7-1 to raise the rates. We asked the mayor where she stands and why. She said ____________________. For a full break down of the rate increase, click here.
