GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A Triad group's mission to connect children to the gift of music and all the benefits it brings is a year long effort.
For the past 54 years, the Greensboro Symphony Guild has raised more than $2 million to benefit music education. Next weekend you can be apart of that impact by attending the Guild's signature fundraiser in support of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
Symphony Guild President Laura Green along with this year's event co-chairs JoAnna Bright and Laura Wolf talked about the fundraiser's 2018 theme: A Notable Night in Paris.
"The Proximity Hotel will be transformed into a Paris Street theme with artists and a silent auction. We will feature local artists and a variety of French food and wonderful French music provided by wonderful students at High Point University and Grimsley as well as some professionals as well," said Wolf.
The silent and live auction items include original artwork from more than 50 local artists and raffle items that include a trip to France donated by AmaWaterways.
But the real winner are the students who will benefit from your generosity. All proceeds will benefit music education programs of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra which reach more than 50,000 people annually in the Piedmont Triad.
The Greensboro Symphony Guild's Notable Night In Paris fundraiser is Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro.
There will be a wide array of talent at the fundraiser including the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra. The Honors quartet performed live on the Good Morning Show. Take a look by clicking on the video including in this web story!
