Greensboro Offers Free Summer Programs For Kids And Teens

"Energy at the Park" will be held simultaneously at seven different locations in Greensboro, including Arlington, Douglas, Eastside, Hampton, Hannaford, Heath, and Woodmere Park.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The City of Greensboro is offering free summer camp programs for teens and kids.

"Energy at the Park" is education, nutrition, exercise, recreation, and games for the youth.

The goal of the program is to provide children ages 5-15 with a chance to participate in fun activities at the park.

The summer camp also includes free lunch for kids through the Guilford County Schools Summer Feeding Program.

"Energy at the Park" will be held simultaneously at seven different locations in Greensboro, including Arlington, Douglas, Eastside, Hampton, Hannaford, Heath, and Woodmere Park.

Parents can register their kids for the program, fill out a participant information form, and provide emergency contacts on site the same day of the event.

The program is held Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The camp started earlier this week and ends on August 9th.

The City of Greensboro is also offering a free summer program for teens ages 13-18.

"Summer Night Lights" is a teen only event filled with sports, food, a DJ, and a safe space for teens to hang out with friends.

The program is held on Fridays at The Greensboro Sportsplex at 7:00 p.m.
