Cirque Du Soleil Joins Greensboro Symphony

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- You've heard of Cirque Du Soleil. You've heard of the Greensboro symphony. But put them together and you have the most unique musical experience the Triad has seen in a long time!

You can join the Greensboro Symphony for a night of music and acrobats. It's called Cirque de la Symphonie.

During Cirque de la Symphonie, features high-flying aerialists, contortionists and acrobats perform to classical masterpieces and contemporary hits.

And you can catch the whole show in Greensboro.

The performances feature six acrobats. They include gymnast Vitalii Buza, contortionist Ekaterina Borzikova, illusionist Vladimir Tsarkov, hoops and silks specialist Alina Sergeeva, cube and wheel specialist Aleksandr Deev, and aerial rope artist Shem Biggie.

If you're familiar with classical music, you'll love Bernstein's Candide Overture, Bizet's Carmen Suite and Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov performed by some of the Triad's best musicians.

There are two shows at the Greensboro Coliseum. The first performance is on Saturday, April 11 at 8 p.m. and the second is on Sunday, April 12 at 3 p.m.
