WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- The City of Winston-Salem is getting ready to open its first water park!
The Winston Lake Aquatics Park will feature three waterslides, a pool, a spray ground for younger kids, and even a lazy river that flows through most of the park!
"I just want them to have a good time. We in recreation are all about service and servicing our community, so when you have the community come and are just excited about what you offer, that makes you--- myself and my department excited," Latoya Price, Special Facilities athletics Aquatics Supervisor, said.
It's right down the street from the Winston lake YMCA located at 999 Waterworks Rd. The grand opening is set for Friday, May 25th at 11 a.m.
Admission is free for kids ages 2 and under, $2 for 3-17, and $3 for 18 and over.
