Shocking images show flood damage to Stokes County Road

Stokes County deputies are urging residents to stay home.

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. — Several counties in the Triad are experiencing flooding and some of the damages are severe.

The Stokes County Sheriff's Office posted a series of photos to Facebook showing a giant crack in Franklin Moore Road.

Water rushes around and into the crevasse.

Stokes County deputies urged residents to stay home and not go outside if not necessary.

Deputies said Moore Springs Road is closed at Talley Road, Franklin Moore Road is closed, and Bethesda Church Road is closed.

The sheriff's office warned the Pine Hall/ Madison community to be prepared for additional flooding as the water travels downstream.
