GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Vanessa and Robert Stimpson say Vanessa's brother, Roy Stover, has been living with them since 1992.
Until about a month ago when he got in a cab and hasn't been seen since.
"A lot of times at night I don't sleep. I don't sleep because of my brother, I can't find him," said Vanessa Stimpson.
Searching is something Vanessa and Robert Stimpson are getting used to.
"I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy," said Vanessa Stimpson.
The Stimpson's say Roy Stover was someone who didn't like change. They say he has dementia. Three months ago a tornado meant change for countless Greensboro families.
"Like I'm still going through the tornado. Like I still hear the train sounds," said Vanessa Stimpson.
The Stimpson's home was damaged badly enough in the April 15th tornado that they had to move into a hotel.
Stover was there for about a month, but then one day they say he caught a cab and nobody has heard from him since.
"I feel like he is still around here somewhere," hopes Vanessa Stimpson.
Losing your home, looking for a new place to start, and uprooting your life is hard enough.
But when you tack on the stress of looking for a loved one who has lived with you for 25 years..
"It's been -- it's horrible. Pretty much the worst three months of your life? Yeah, there's been some pretty hard things that have happened -- but this -- it doesn't compare," said Vanessa Stimpson.
