Fire Officials: No One Home During Christmas Eve House Fire

Most the damage to the house was on the inside according to officials. No injuries were reported.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- Fire officials say no one was home after a fire badly damaged a house in Guilford County Wednesday night.

Firefighters on scene told WFMY News 2 flames were shooting out of the house at 3334 Oliver Hills Road after 7 p.m. when crews arrived on scene. About 50 firefighters, including Alamance Fire, Guilford County EMS, and volunteer units responded and were able to quickly put the fire out.

Most the damage to the house was on the inside according to officials. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
