Fire at Cook Out on Battleground Ave. in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro business caught on fire Sunday.

The Greensboro Fire Department said they received a call about a fire at the Cook Out located at 2411 Battleground Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m.

Fire officials said majority of the fire was in the void area between the roof and the ceiling.

One employee was taken to the hospital, according to Greensboro Fire.

The condition of the employee is unknown at this time.

Fire officials said the fire appears to be an accidental electrical malfunction issue with the ice machine.

The machine has been tagged for the insurance company to investigate.

The total amount in damages is $150,000.

The fire was under control by 12:58 a.m.
