Elon student, women's basketball player 'making amazing progress'

Ava Leroux is a freshman who plays Forward/Center Player for her team.

Ave Leroux, a freshman at Elon University and a women's basketball team player is making great progress since her car accident on Friday, Dec. 22, Elon officials report.

Leroux was initially admitted to the ICU after the accident. 

But now, university officials report she has been moved from the ICU and is in a regular hospital room!

"She is making amazing progress," Jason Knavel, Associate Athletics Director of Strategic Communications, said.

Leroux plays Forward/Center Player for her team.
