GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- Deputies say they seized drugs, money and a gun from a man who led them on a chase that started in Guilford County and ended in Davidson County.
According to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to stop Ronnie Sanders on Saturday night for speeding and reckless driving on I-85.
Investigators say Sanders led two sheriff's vehicles down to Lexington and hit one of them on Highway 8. They were able to stop him in Southmont after he went off the road, hitting a tree and a telephone pole.
The deputies found 10.9 grams of Methamphetamine, 3.2 grams of cocaine, $287 and a pistol.
Officials charged Sanders with felony Speed to Elude, Speeding, Careless and Reckless Driving, Possession of Firearm by Felon, Possession with Intent to Sell Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell Methamphetamine, Manufacture Cocaine, Manufacture Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Vehicle to Keep Controlled Substance and Fugitive from justice warrant from South Carolina for attempted murder.
