WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woman is arrested after she hit several pedestrians while they were trying to get in a parked vehicle, Winston-Salem police said.
Around 2 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to the 400 block of N. Marshall Street to investigate the situation.
Investigation revealed that 26-year-old Ny'Quasha Council was driving south on N. Marshall Street carelessly and recklessly when she hit several people who were trying to get in a parked vehicle.
A woman was severely injured during the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Other people who were hit sustained minor injuries.
Evidence gathered at the scene revealed that speeding and alcohol were contributing factors.
This investigation is ongoing.
