GREENSBORO, N.C. — You might have seen a now-viral Waffle House social media post claiming it was filmed in Greensboro.
Plates are being thrown by both customers and Waffle House employees, making a mess.
It has gotten hundreds of thousands of views, and a lot of people are saying the fight happened at the Waffle House off Randleman Road. In fact, all four Waffle House locations in Greensboro are called out in the comments section.
Disclaimer: We don't know who the source of the original video is. This the video of a incident inside a Waffle House shared on Facebook.
WFMY News 2 verified: it's not true.
The corporate Waffle House office tells WFMY News 2 this fight took place at a Fort Worth, Texas location. Waffle House tells us the incident happened on Thursday night on 6320 South Freeway in Fort Worth, to be exact.
Waffle House says the employees in the video have since been fired and the chain is working with Fort Worth Police to identify the customers in the video to potentially sue them for the destruction of property, estimated to be around $1,000 dollars.
Just to be sure, we double-checked with Greensboro Police. Greensboro Police say they have no reports or disturbance calls from any of the Waffle House locations in Greensboro in that time frame.
You still don't believe us?
WFMY News 2's Jessica Winters also went to the Randleman Road Waffle House to see if the video matched the restaurant's layout.
Nope!
The Randleman Road Waffle House clearly has black-and-white checkered flooring.
Bottom line: don't believe everything you see or read!
