WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man is dead after a crash on US 421 at Reidsville Road in Winston-Salem Tuesday night, police say.
The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m.
Officers said 28-year-old Selvin Lamar Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation revealed that Wright was going north on US 421 when he lost control for an unknown reason and went over the guardrail. Police said Wright stopped in the median between the northbound and southbound lanes when he was ejected from his car and landed in the southbound lanes of travel where he was hit by oncoming traffic.
