Going to Truist Stadium on the 4th? Look out for this!

The event will have an impact on traffic in the following areas of Broad Street, Peters Creek Parkway, and 1st Street.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Dash is hosting a Fourth of Celebration at Truist Stadium on Thursday.

The gates will open at 5 p.m. and the event will end at 11 p.m. The Winston-Salem Dash will play the Hickory Crawdads.

However, this celebration will have an impact on traffic in the following areas of Broad Street, Peters Creek Parkway, and 1st Street.

The Winston-Salem Police Department is asking residents to park in designated parking areas or to use ride-sharing apps if they are attending the event.

Residents should not park on main roadways or medians to view fireworks as this is dangerous for pedestrians and drivers in the area.

It is encouraged for drivers in the area to seek alternate routes to avoid traffic.
