MEBANE, NC - A fire crew has been sent to the site of the old Kidde warehouse in Mebane Tuesday morning according to the Mebane Fire Department.
The department says a fire call came in around 5:12 a.m. to 1394 South Third Street. There are no injuries and no word yet on what started the fire.

The company emailed a statement to WFMY News 2 saying:
We are aware of a fire at one of our warehouses and are working to gather more information as quickly as possible. No one was in the building at the time. The safe operation of our facilities is always a top priority.
