HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police are searching for an at-large robbery suspect in High Point on Tuesday, July 16, the High Point Police Department confirmed.
Police were called at around 7:12 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery on the 1300 block of Dartmouth Avenue.
Police said they found the car around Eastchester Drive and Deep River Road.
Officers pursued the suspect after the driver allegedly did not stop the vehicle.
At around 7:25 p.m., the suspect allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Piedmont Parkway and West Wendover Avenue, according to police.
The suspect was hit by a vehicle, and police say the suspect then sideswiped another vehicle, officers said.
Luckily, police said, no one was seriously injured.
The suspect then jumped out of the vehicle and ran, according to police.
Police were searching for the suspect. Police were searching the area with a K-9 unit in a nearby shopping center.
Police did not find the suspect and said they did not have any suspect information available.
