Convention center obtains structural damage following car crash

Winston-Salem police said two people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A car crash caused minor structural damage to a Winston-Salem convention center early Saturday morning. 

The Winston-Salem police department responded to the crash at the intersection of N. Marshall Street and W. Sixth Street around 1:50 a.m. 

When officers got there, they found two cars involved in the crash. They said during the crash one of the cars hit the Benton Convention Center causing minor structural damage. 

According to police, two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. 

WSPD is investigating this incident.
