The shoot took place at Dash stadium in Winston-Salem located at BB&T Park and boy oh boy were the towels waving!

Why the towels you ask?

Because the Winston-Salem Police chose Petey Pablo’s 2001 smash hit 'North Carolina' as their song of choice for battle.

The song's lyrics read “North Carolina! c'mon and raise up, take your shirt off, twist it 'round yo' hand spin it like a helicopter.”

What a way to mix lyrics with imagery!

Although the lip sync challenge will undoubtedly get all the attention, the most important thing to witness was the beauty of community and law enforcement coming together in celebration instead of tragedy.
