Man unsuccessfully attempts carjacking after robbery, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department arrested a man for robbery on Thursday, June 13.

Officers were called to 2005 E. Wendover Avenue regarding a robbery.

Police said they identified the suspect and went to apprehend him, but he ran away. This led to a foot pursuit, officers said.

The suspect attempted to carjack someone, according to police, but was unsuccessful.

Zakaria Majak, 32, was identified as the suspect and was charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons and felon possessing a firearm.
