LEXINGTON, N.C. — The South Lexington Fire Department said a driver crashed into a power pole and then into a home on Old Mountain Rd. in Lexington Friday afternoon.
It knocked out power to about 300 customers, according to Energy United's outage map.
Fire officials said the driver was out of the car when crews arrived and had no visible injuries. They said she was conscious and talking, and she went to Baptist Hospital as a precaution.
Fire officials said Energy United crews are working to restore power in the area. They could be out there for several hours, so use caution.
There's no word on the cause of the crash. Roads have reopened in the area.
