YADKINVILLE, N.C. — A canopy awning collapsed at a gas station on the evening of Aug. 3 in Yadkinville, according to the Yadkinville Fire Department.
The canopy collapsed at a gas station on 708 S State St.
According to firefighters, bystanders helped people out from under the canopy.
Anyone who was under the awning had made their way out when officials made it to the scene.
Luckily, no one was entrapped.
The fire department said two people were evaluated for medical assistance but declined transport to a local hospital.
