BURLINGTON, N.C. — The holiday season means more letters for Santa Claus!
The Burlington Police Department has set up a mailbox for members of the community to send letters to Santa.
Letters can be dropped off at the Burlington Police Department, 267 W. Front Street. The mailbox is located in the lobby near the public entrance.
The mailbox will stay open from Nov. 23 through Dec. 15.
“Santa has entrusted us with a big responsibility, and we are proud to serve as the official letter drop-off location again this year,” Chief Alan Balog said.
All letters that include a return address will feature a personal response from Santa, according to the Burlington Police Department.
“We will ensure that every letter is protected and deliver them into the right hands, the children of Burlington should have their letters to Santa placed in the magic mailbox by 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, to make certain that Santa has time to read all of the letters before Christmas Eve," Santa’s Burlington Bureau lead elf, ‘Jingle Belle,' said.
