Burlington home struck by lightning Sunday night

Authorities responded to Friendship Patterson Mill Rd. around 9:30 p.m. in reference to a home that had been struck by lightning.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington home was struck by lightning on Sunday, June 30, according to the  E. M. Holt Fire Department.

Authorities responded to Friendship Patterson Mill Rd. around 9:30 p.m. in reference to a home that had been struck by lightning. 

When the fire department arrived at the home, they said they saw fire coming from the roof. 

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from escaping the third floor and said everyone in the home made it out safely.
