ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — The case against a man who was charged following a 2020 March to the Polls event in Graham has been dismissed, according to court documents.
Brenden Kee faced two counts of misdemeanor resisting a public officer and one count of misdemeanor public disturbance. On Jan. 3, those charges were dismissed.
Charges were filed against two other men for their involvement by the Alamance County Sheriff's Office. One of them, Reverend Greg Drumwright, was acquitted of all charges related to the 2020 incident in February 2023.
The October 2020 march was held to encourage voters to get to the polls before the 2020 election ended, but it ended with police deploying pepper spray. Drumright and several other demonstrators were arrested for disorderly conduct and failing to leave when instructed.
Alamance County Sheriff's Office claimed Drumwright didn't follow the rules agreed upon to hold this demonstration.
