GREENSBORO, N.C. — A longtime vegetarian restaurant in Greensboro will close its doors later this month.
Boba House announced on Facebook it would serve its last meal on Saturday, March 23.
"With sadness, we would like to share that Boba House will serve our last meal at 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2023. We hope for the opportunity to make you your favorite dish one last time," the restaurant said in part.
Boba House, located on Tate Street, has been open for 20 years.
We've reached out to the restaurant to learn more about the closure, and they have since released the following statement:
We have been fortunate to do what we love for 20+ years. Our passion and purpose at the time was to bring awareness to vegetarian dining. At this very moment, we feel that we have served our purpose, and with our staff’s blessing, we plan to retire and dedicate our time to our four growing boys!
Several customers shared their well wishes for the staff.
"Greensboro won't be the same without Boba House," one person commented.
"My heart is broken. I love your place and whenever I was in town, I would eat there," another person said.
