GREENSBORO, N.C. — Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools' Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss steps going forward for students in 2nd grade and higher.
The board looked at metrics and discussed what was the best outcome for the safety of staff and students.
In doing so, the board voted in favor to bring students not currently in classrooms, back to classrooms in January.
Grades 2, 3 and 6 will return on Jan. 11. While Grades 4, 5, 7 and 8 will return on Jan. 18. The first high school cohort will return on Jan. 21.
Students that are currently in school, Pre-K through 1, EC, ESL Academy, and OCS students, will continue with in-person instruction as scheduled.
