AT&T union workers end strike

The CWA reached a tentative deal with the company late Sunday night.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Communications Workers of America (CWA) members employed by AT&T Southeast are ending their strike Monday.

The CWA reached a tentative deal with the company late Sunday night.

The new contract in the Southeast covers 17,000 workers and others who install, maintain, and support AT&T's network across 9 states, including North Carolina.

They said wages and health care costs were key issues at the bargaining table, and the five-year agreement includes across the board wage increases.
