WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist will begin temporary visitor restrictions for children ages 12 and under Thursday.
The medical center said this is due to a steady increase in respiratory virus cases in the community.
Children 12 and under may be allowed to visit patients in special circumstances if approved by the patient's doctor and the nursing unit leadership.
The restriction is effective at all Wake Forest Baptist hospitals listed here:
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Brenner Children’s Hospital
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center
