GREENSBORO, N.C. — A car crashed into a Wells Fargo ATM on North Holden Road around 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, according to the Greensboro Police Department Watch Command.
The vehicle was traveling north from Gate City Boulevard when it hit the ATM housing building, police said.
Officers said the car continued to roll and rested in the parking lot of the George K’s restaurant and before it burst into flames.
A bystander saw the crash and was able to rescue the driver before the car was engulfed in flames, according to police.
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
GPD said they do not know at this time why the car left the roadway or if speed or impairment is a factor.
