ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines, based in Atlanta, is introducing a new cabin interior design across its fleet, according to a Tuesday release.
The refresh aims to enhance the customer experience with updated seating, lighting, and branding. The refresh will debut on a narrowbody Boeing 757 this fall, with a widebody Airbus A350 set to follow in early 2025.
As part of Delta’s upcoming centennial celebration, the new interiors feature modern seating materials, memory foam cushions, and improved lighting. The design includes softer color palettes and accents of Delta’s signature colors throughout the cabin.
Mauricio Parise, Delta’s Vice President of Customer Experience Design, said the goal is to blend "utility with beauty," creating a "fresh, elevated, and timeless space."
The new cabin offers upgrades across all classes. Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin travelers will see what the company says are engineered leather seats with signature stitching and memory foam cushions on widebody jets. Delta says there will be wool and nylon blend seats with temperature-regulating fabrics for Delta One passengers, and Delta Premium Select and First Class will feature memory foam cushions and engineered leather covers.
In addition to seating, lighting has been redesigned to match the different phases of the flight. From warm hues during boarding to amber tones for sleep, Delta says the cabin atmosphere will shift to promote comfort.
The new design will gradually be implemented across Delta’s fleet over the next few years.
