FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police said an 18-year-old woman has been found in good condition and four people are in custody after an Ashanti Alert was issued.
Fayetteville Police said the victim was found in Virginia.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Birchwood Way in response to the abduction of the 18-year-old early Thursday morning.
Police said initial investigation revealed the victim was forced into a car by people she had previously been acquainted with and the car then left the area.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are actively investigating this incident and charges are forthcoming.

Officials believe Tierstan Cochran could be with two male suspects and one female suspect headed toward Tennessee Thursday morning. Police said they could be in a newer-model, gray SUV. No plate number or make and model was available.
Cochran is believed to be wearing sweatpants and a tee shirt. She has long black hair with brown eyes and is about five-feet-tall.
NCDPS describes the three suspects as:
- Suspect 1: White male, 5'10'', wearing blue shorts and a red jacket with a smiley face
- Suspect 2: Black male, 5'10'', with dreads
- Suspect 3: White female, 5'4'', not wearing any shoes

Ashanti Alerts are issued when there is evidence of physical endangerment, abduction or kidnapping, and the subject is at least 18 years old.
What is an Ashanti Alert?
You may be familiar with an 'Amber Alert' or 'Silver Alert,' but what is an 'Ashanti Alert'?
An Ashanti Alert is used when investigators think an adult who doesn't fall under an Amber or Silver Alert has been abducted or kidnapped.
This is for anyone between the ages of 18 and 64.
The alert is named after Ashanti Billie who was abducted and killed in 2017.
Billie was abducted from JEB Little Creek, only to be found murdered in North Carolina. She was 19 years old at the time of her abduction; too old for an Amber Alert, and too young for a Silver Alert. Her parents thought an alert could have helped save their daughter's life.
