Lexington, NC -- Artist Bob Timberlake has been collecting for almost his entire life. Now, after 60 years and thousands of objects, Timberlake plans to auction part of his collection this summer. The auction will be one of the most significant in state history. Timberlake estimates that up to one-third of his possessions will be on sale on July 15th and 16th, at Brunk Auctions in Asheville. Brunk officials say the items have been valued between $800,000 and $1.5 million. Items include paintings, quilts and Civil War relics. A single painting by Andrew Wyeth could bring up to $80,000.
