DANVILLE, VA. (WFMY) - Emma Grace Kennedy was found safe Tuesday, canceling an Amber Alert and ending a days-long manhunt for her father.
Emma Grace is the 7-month-old girl authorities believe was abducted Sunday night from a Danville gas station by her biological father, Carl Ray Kennedy. Carl Kennedy is a registered sex offender in North Carolina.
Here's what we know from investigators:
- Emma is 7 months old
- Emma has blonde hair and blue eyes
- Emma was last seen wearing a light blue onesie with dots and a white rabbit on the left leg and matching headband
- Emma has a small scar on her left cheek
- Police think Emma was taken from the Kwik Shop on Riverside Drive by her father, Carl Kennedy, just before 8 p.m.
- An Amber Alert was issued for Emma Monday morning after 3 a.m.
- Carl Kennedy may be driving a gold Suzuki car with a spare tire on the rear. License tag is NC EKZ-5093
- Carl Kennedy has several tattoos on his arm including: skull on left forearm, skull with a bandanna over the mouth on his right forearm, an eye tattoo on the back of his right hand, a wizard tattoo on his left upper arm, and a tattoo on his upper right arm of a pitbull with “American Bulldog” written underneath of it.
- Carl Kennedy has access to a blue Jeep Cherokee, a Dodge truck and a Toyota Camry. The cars could have tags FAA-1873 or EKZ-5093.
