Alamance County law enforcement holds memorial for fallen officers

The service is held annually during National Police Week.

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — The Triad is remembering its fallen first responders on Tuesday, May 14.

Thirteen fallen Alamance County law enforcement officers were honored in a memorial at Graham Presbyterian Church.

The service is held annually during National Police Week.

The service remembers fallen law officers as far back as the 1800's.

"Those names that were read, of the pictures of those who have given their life that are here in front of me. I think of the word 'great' but they truly were great in character, great in morals, great in kindness, great in compassion," said one officer.

Other Triad police department agencies also paid their respects, including Greensboro and Burlington.
