Aggie Pride! NC A&T Homecoming 2016 Underway

NC A&T State University's Homecoming events are in full-swing, ahead of Saturday's game against Florida A&M.

GREENSBORO, NC -- "It's homecoming, y'all!" That's a phrase reverberating across North Carolina A&T State University this week during 2016 homecoming celebrations!

Many people in the Triad community call NC A&T Homecoming "the greatest homecoming on earth." It is a week-long celebration, culminating with Fan Fest -- the city of Greensboro's largest city-managed event that 50,000 people enjoy.

The Aggie football team is on a winning streak, and their homecoming game is Saturday at 1 p.m. against Florida A&M.

NC A&T police chief Charles Wilson says safety is top priority this year. He says the campus police department is partnering with Greensboro police and a handful of other local law enforcement agencies to ensure all events run smoothly. He encourages everyone to download the NC A&T Live Safe App, on which anyone can submit a safety complaint or concern.

WFMY News 2's Good Morning Show spent Wednesday morning with the spirited Live Wires pep crew and Aggie cheerleaders. Check out the following videos to get pumped up about homecoming!
