CLEMMONS, N.C. -- The Forsyth County Housing and Community Development Board met with the owners of the house where human remains were found buried in the backyard on Friday.

At the hearing, county officials gave Cynthia James, Pazuzu Algarad's mother, 30 days to make repairs to her house on Knob Hill Drive.

The house has been the center of local and national attention since early October after Forsyth County Sheriff Deputies found the remains of two men buried in the backyard.

Investigators spent weeks at the house gathering evidence. Crews from the Village of Clemmons hauled truck loads of debris from the backyard before investigators did one final search.

Sheriff deputies called Forsyth County Housing and Community Development to inspect the house. Video released through a public information request showed rooms knee-deep with trash, animal feces and carcasses, what appeared to be blood on walls and satanic writings throughout the house. The county has estimated the repair costs to be $78,000 and described the house as "dilapidated." That means the repair costs are more than 65-percent the value of the house.

"Worst case scenario is that they don't move at all and the house sits there and then at that point in time we could take it to the commissioners for official action," explained Dan Kornelis, Director, Department of Housing and Community Development.

James and her ex-husband's names are on the deed for the house. Neither had anything to say at the hearing but an attorney representing their mortgage lender spoke up.

"What happens if there is no progress?," asked the attorney referring to the 30-day deadline.

Kornelis explained, "What we would do is the commissioners first would probably tell the owner, order them to have the house torn down. There would be a certain amount of time they would have to do that.

If they didn't mean it, we would go back to the commissioners again and they would give an order to have the county tear it down. At that point in time, the county would take out bids to have it demolished and then we would oversee the demolition and clearance of that property."

James had no comment for WFMY News 2 and didn't tell county officials what she plans to do.

David Kasper, Kasper & Payne, P.A., is representing James' ex-husband. He told WFMY News 2, "Mr. James is divorced from Ms. Cynthia James and has been since December of 2007. He separated from Ms. James in early December of 2001. He has not been in the home at 2749 Knob Hill Drive since that time and has no direct knowledge of the conditions inside the house. Mr. James does not have and has not had any involvement with any of the recent events. Solely because his name is on the deed to the home, Mr. James has become another victim in this tragedy. "

James' mortgage lender, Wells Fargo, released a statement to WFMY News 2 saying, "Wells Fargo is cooperating with the city in their efforts relative to the Knob Hill Drive property. The loan secured by the property was only one month past due when the issues came to light and, as a result, we haven't initiated foreclosure or taken title to the property on behalf of FHA."

Pazuzu Algarad, his wife Amber Burch and Krystal Matlock have all been charged in connection to deaths of Joshua Frederick Wetzler and Tommy Dean Welch. Investigators said the bodies were buried in 2009. An autopsy conducted at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center revealed both had been shot.
