ASHEBORO, NC - Three new red wolf pups made their social media debut on Wednesday from the North Carolina Zoo.
According to a Facebook post, the wolf pups were born on April 18 to Raydar and Haley. This is the first marked litter in 2017 of red wolves in human care.
The red wolf is considered a critically endangered species, so these pups make 19 red wolves at the NC Zoo.
The NC Zoo also said in their post that there are around 20-40 red wolves in the wild, and all of them are found in North Carolina.
If you want to see the new additions to the zoo, you might need to wait a while. The pups are remaining at an off-site area..
