GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It takes just 60 seconds to reboot your router and it’s worth every second.
The FBI wants you to reboot or unplug your router to avoid a new form of malware. It’s called the VPN-FILTER. The malware software allows hackers to spy on you and collect any information that comes through your router.
The malware can clog up your router and keep you from getting on the internet. You can reboot your router through its software or by keeping it unplugged for 60 seconds. Resetting your router destroys part of the malware. Also, make sure your router has a strong password.
