Companies are offering older workers "returnships" to get adjusted to catch up with the workforce.

An internship can be a great tool to see a profession before you get into it. If you're trying to get back into the workforce, you probably wish you could get a re-do on that internship.

Here’s the deal, Companies are looking for experienced workers of all ages.
Many of them offer programs to those returning to the workforce.
It allows employees to catch up on the latest aspects of their field before they get back to work.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, make a list of companies in your field.
See if they offer any programs for returning workers.
If they don't - ask them about possibly starting one. Your experience may make them consider starting one.

If you used to work in tech but are afraid that you’re too far behind to pick it back up, you’re in luck. A lot of companies are offering these returnships for tech positions. Companies like Wal-Mart, Quizlet, and Cloudfare all offer types of returnships for the tech industry.
