GREENSBORO, NC – After hearing news of yet another explosive package in Texas, this time at a Fed Ex facility, this twist brings more fear and more questions. How can you protect yourself? How do you spot a suspicious package?
The USPS has long warned people about what to look for in a suspicious package. The obvious; wires sticking out, if there is a liquid type stain or discoloration, if it smells. But there are clues that aren't as obvious including: excessive postage, this shows they guessed at because maybe they didn’t want to come into a Post Office. Also, no return address, restrictive markings like “personal” and misspellings.
But that's through the Post Office. At this point, Fed Ex isn't directly providing info on any signs this package may have shown. In the meantime, these bombs in boxes have our local authorities sending messages to calm fears.
This post is from the Greensboro Police on Next Door. It addresses Amazon deliveries made by un-uniformed people. The post goes on to say Amazon uses Flex delivery, which allows for this.
Of course if you have an issue, you think there's something weird about a package, you can always call and have them check it out.
